Ingredients (Budget-Friendly)
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp instant yeast
- 3 tbsp oil or melted butter
- 1 cup warm water (not hot)
Instructions
Activate the Yeast
- In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast.
- Rest for 5–7 minutes until foamy.
Make the Dough
- Add flour, salt, and oil to the yeast mixture.
- Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic
(add a little flour only if sticky).
First Rise
- Grease the bowl lightly.
- Place dough inside and cover.
- Let it rise in a warm place for 45–60 minutes or until doubled.
Shape the Bread
- Punch down the dough gently.
- Shape into a loaf or round bun.
- Place in a greased pan.
Second Rise
- Cover and let rise 20 minutes.
Bake
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Bake for 22–25 minutes until golden.
