Philly Cheesesteak Sliders

Philly Cheesesteak Sliders

  • Prep time: 15 minutes
  • Cook time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 9 sliders

Ingredients

THE BASE & FILLING:

  • 1 package (9-count) King’s Hawaiian Original Sweet Slider Buns
  • 1 package (approx. 14 oz) Shaved Beef (100% Beef)
  • 1 medium Green bell pepper, finely diced
  • 1 medium Yellow onion, finely diced
  • 1 package Provolone cheese slices (you will need about 6–8 slices)
  • 2 tbsp Butter (for sautéing)
  • 1–2 tbsp Kinder’s Seasoning (or your favorite garlic/onion/pepper blend)

THE BUTTER GLAZE:

  • 2 tbsp Butter, melted
  • ½ tsp Garlic powder or Kinder’s seasoning
  • A pinch of dried parsley (optional, for color)

Instructions

1. Prep the Veggies and Meat

  • Finely dice your green bell pepper and onion.
  • If your shaved beef has large sheets, roughly chop it so it easily fits into small slider buns.

2. Cook the Filling

  • Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the diced onions and green peppers. Sauté for 3–4 minutes until they begin to soften.
  • Add the shaved beef to the skillet. Use your wooden spoon to break it apart as it cooks.
  • Season generously with the Kinder’s seasoning. Cook until the beef is fully browned and the liquid has mostly evaporated. Remove from heat.

3. Assemble the Sliders

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice the King’s Hawaiian slider buns in half horizontally so you have a connected sheet of bottoms and a sheet of tops. Place the bottom halves into a baking dish.
  • Layer a few slices of Provolone cheese directly onto the bottom buns (this prevents the bread from getting soggy).
  • Spoon the warm beef, pepper, and onion mixture evenly over the cheese.
  • Top the beef layer with another generous layer of Provolone cheese slices.
  • Place the top buns over the cheese.

4. Glaze and Bake

  • Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and mix in a pinch of seasoning. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of the buns.
  • Cover the baking dish loosely with aluminum foil (to prevent the tops from burning before the cheese melts).
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 3–5 minutes, until the tops are golden brown, shiny, and the cheese is perfectly melted.

Tip: Let them cool for just 2–3 minutes before slicing through them with a sharp serrated knife. Enjoy them hot while the cheese is still beautifully melted!
